Logistics

We understand that getting your kayak to and from race events, especially if you are flying, can be a real challenge. That’s why, in addition to our rental and repair services, Flying Dutchman is working on convenient transport options to support your adventures. 

TRANSPORT & REPAIRS FOR COAST TO COAST 2027

TRANSPORT ONLY SERVICE   $379 (inc. GST)

  • Collect 4 Feb from Akl – Taupō  – Palmy – Welly
  • Other pickup locations available on request.
  • Return 19 February 2027|

COAST TO COAST 2027 SERVICE   $565 (inc. GST)
AUCKLAND / TAUPŌ / WELLINGTON ⇄ MT WHITE BRIDGE

  • We pick up your kayak in Auckland, Hamilton , Taupō, Palmerston North and Wellington (other pickup locations available on request)
  • Meet at Kūmara Beach on 11 February for stickering and checks
  • Kayaks delivered to Mt White Bridge for support‑crew collection
  • Post‑race pickup from George Bridge
  • Return transport included back to your original pickup city
  • Repair coordination available on request

KAYAK REPAIRS
On‑site quotes available:  Google map icon 14 February 2027 at Addington Racecourse

Repairs will be returned 20–21 February in: Wellington – Palmerston North – Taupō – Auckland

  • FREE – if already on trailer for transport
  • $175 per kayak with FDM repair
  • $225 transport only (one‑way)

Regular Transport North & South Island

We are also working on regular South – North Island and North – South Island transport options, ideal for: 

  • Moving newly purchased boats
  • Delivering kayaks to race venues
  • Supporting club trips and multisport events

Pick-up and drop-off can be arranged along the route.  Just share your location when you enquire, and we will do our best to coordinate a smooth handover, whether you are near a main city or in between.
